64. “Belly Button Book” by Sandra Boynton

When my son, Victor, was learning to speak, he called himself Vivic. His girlfriend, Polina, created her own nickname too: Pina. Isn’t amazing how those little word creations stick to our daily conversations and for how long!

A little hippopotamus has made up a fun little word as well and we’ve been using it since we read the book for the first time. Bee-Bo it is. ” You might not know what bee-bo means, or maybe you’ve forgotten…” If so, I recommend you read “Belly Button Book”. Actually now it is a perfect time. It is summer, beach and swimming pool time and all kinds of bee-bos  get big exposure.

Have fun with hippos in bikinis (hysterical), melodic rhymes and unusually high dose of humor in this cute little board book, not only for babies. Once again Sandra Boynton proved her uniqueness. Who else could write an ode to the navel, most likely the most ignored part of our body?

My son doesn’t have a nickname for himself, but he calls our 2nd son “brother.” I love it. This book about belly buttons sounds hilarious. I can see my 4 year old loving the silliness of it.
ps-As a mom, you might like this link. It’s called the Mom’s Guide to Caring for Little Teeth (http://www.1dental.com/moms-guide/). I’ve gotten good tips for both my boys on it and also some ideas on how to make toothbrushing more fun.

I bought this book for my daughter as one of her many birthday gifts, and she just love this book! Since then, I’ve been picking up a lot of Boynton books. They are so entertaining for the children to listen to and for the adults to read (to their kids, of course).
