344. “If You’re A Monster And You Know It” by Rebecca Emberley and Ed Emberley

“If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands…” You must know this catchy baby rhyme. Children love it,  but not forever. At some point, the song becomes too cute, too soft and too mellow for the vigorous toddlers and preschoolers. They need something more intense to help them release the unlimited levels of energy. The Emberley  duo might have written and a book just right for them. A thrilling remake of their favorite baby rhyme, topped with spine-chilling visuals. Instead of gentle clapping and nodding their heads, children are encouraged to stomp, snort, growl, smack or roar. If they’re a monster and they know it, that is.

A quite wicked  read/sing/move along, especially for a group of lively children, who like books, having scary fun and pretend games.
